Fascinating commentary. The "ovarian lottery" is a great concept.
It reminds me of the simplified scenario of the global population as just 100 people. 12 would be starved or malnourished. 9 or 10 would have no access to clean drinking water. 22 would be living without proper shelter. Only 7 would have a college degree. How lucky we are to be born into the developed world...
