Good Cartoon, Jana. Here is a good story that supports your message.
"I have said many times that the difference between successful people and unsuccessful people is that successful people do a lot of the things that unsuccessful people don't want to do. Like when the door is slammed in your face ten times, you go on to door number eleven with just as much enthusiasm.” - John Paul Dejoria.

Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up. - Edison

I remember this phrase from the book 'The last lecture' by Randy Pausch, from the movie Rocky: 'It's not how hard you hit. It is how hard you get hit.. and keep moving on'

"Fall down 7 times, but rise up the 8th time."
This is the Japanese proverb on the way to achieve success, and this is what our parents really meant when they told me I can do anything if I put my mind to the task (no one ever promised that it will work out the first time or even the second or third...)

"Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan 'Press On' has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race. "
Calvin Coolidge (1872 - 1933)
A very successful friend once showed me this quote and I immediately realized what made her so special and so effective in life...

Out of curiosity: does this cartoon linked to any of our work or issue being faced today?

I took the 7-habits course taught by Stephen Covey himself. He too advocated persistence and perseverance over and over
Thanks for the reminder.........atma

Mmm, NOT QUITE! If you are 79 and invested with your buddy Madoff, will your "success" still coming from enthusiasm? Walmart Greeter position is waiting for you, perhaps, if you are lucky enough.
